Indonesia / Bali
Indonesia is often described as Disneyland for surfers—and for good reason. With warm water year-round, consistent swell, and some of the world’s most perfect reef passes, Indo offers an unmatched variety of waves for every level of surfer. From playful point breaks to heavy barrels, there’s always something firing somewhere in the archipelago.
The prime surf season generally runs from April through October, when powerful southern-hemisphere swells light up the west- and south-facing breaks. That said, Indonesia truly works year-round. Shoulder months like March, April, September, and October often bring lighter winds, fewer crowds, and glassy conditions, while the wetter season can still deliver excellent surf for those who know where to go.
Traveling from Canada, Indonesia is a journey in itself, which is why thoughtful planning makes all the difference. We’ve personally traveled through many of Indonesia’s top surf zones and understand the logistics, timing, and trade-offs that can turn a good trip into a great one. Whether you’re after a classic surf camp, a boat charter, or something more remote, we help dial in the details so you can focus on surfing.
In addition to the featured trips below, Sol Surf Adventures is actively expanding our network of partner resorts, surf camps, and charters across Indonesia. New destinations and experiences are being added regularly, and if you’re looking for something specific that you don’t see listed, we encourage you to reach out.
We also specialize in fully customized, bespoke surf travel, working one-on-one to design trips based on your skill level, group size, budget, and travel style—from first-time Indo missions to repeat barrel hunters.
